The magic has so far connected them only inside the bedroom. Outside it, they would have to have some reason to reach out to each other and to have intense emotion while doing so.

I think Harry is unlikely to run at the moment- not with the revelation so fresh in his mind, not with Draco pinning him to the bed- but he will try to lie.
