Thank you! I think I know what you mean; it's what I hoped people would take away from that section. Trying to write from a nonhuman viewpoint and make it alien enough to be convincing but human enough to understand is difficult.
Draco is depending on Harry for a lot more than Harry realizes. Not only survival, not only physical comfort and a way to get through the maze and take vengeance on the Unspeakables, but also, as he said, a source for hope and the first person in a year who hasn't tried to hurt him (or appeared to hurt him retroactively).
That's part of the reason that Harry's rejection hurts so much. Harry appears to be saying that he won't allow their bond to progress beyond a certain point, just when Draco found out it could be sexual. There really aren't words (ha-ha, forgive the pun) for his level of pain and anger right now.
