Again, there are so many things I loved about this chapter I don’t know where to begin…
The interaction between Harry and Draco reminds me of a pendulum. Every time there is (or could be) some kind of progress in their relationship, something happens (or doesn’t) that takes it to where it was. And what always happens is one of them. Especially Draco, in the latest chapters.
In my opinion, the main problem at this moment isn’t Harry’s potion, but the lack of communication on Draco’s part. And I’m not talking about Daphne. Of course he should tell Harry about her, because it’s not something he should keep secret if he wants to be involved with Harry someday and more importantly, because it has gotten more dangerous than he thought. Hell, I don’t care if he doesn’t tell Harry, as long as he tells someone. I hope the house-elf keeps an eye on him, from now on.
No, what Draco should talk to Harry about is that the potion is the main reason Draco doesn’t want to pursue a relationship with him. Right now, the problem is that Harry has no idea the potion is the problem. Oh, he knows Draco doesn’t approve, but that’s it. Maybe Draco doesn’t know how to put into words why it bothers him so much, but if he tries, and is honest, Harry would listen. Whether Harry understands him, or influences his decision, is another matter. At least he would know what’s going on. (I don’t think hints will work, unless they are unsubtle ones ::lol::). Draco should use a Pensieve to show Harry how little his expression changes when he takes Veritaserum, too.
I find this Harry adorable, even if he’s stubborn and his eerie calmness is annoying. And I feel a little sad for him, because as I said above, he doesn’t really know why Draco doesn’t want him. This chapter showed that Harry can fell the emotions the potion suppresses, if only for a moment. I loved how much Draco made him feel and it makes me impatient to see the effect Draco has on him without the potion. Hmmm maybe it’s better if he learns about Daphne while on the potion …Though I’m sure he won’t feel disgust or disappointment, whatever Draco fears.
Thank god they came to a compromise on how to deal with the committee. Harry total faith in it was alarming ::lol:: Honestly, Veritaserum? ::shakes head::
“I’m always all right. I’m Draco Malfoy.”
Captain Draco Malfoy XD
“I do not ‘mess up,’” Draco said. “My plans fail with a kind of spectacular brilliance, like a star going nova, or they come off perfectly.”
That was brilliant!!!! One of my favourite Draco lines!!
Whoa, long comment! Anyway, the part where Draco hugs the house-elf was heartbreaking. He really needs to do something about Daphne, and quickly. Looking forward to more!!
