I can’t believe it; your descriptions of the maze and everything in there are so good I actually forgot where they really were. At Harry’s sense of familiarity with the whispers I thought ‘I bet it’s something like the Veil, the one that was in the Department of Mysteries… wait, they are in the Department of Mysteries!’
It does make sense to find the Veil there. Regardless of the Unspeakables using it for experiments, I don’t think is an object they could affect, so it would stay where it was no matter what happened around it.

That said, I loved this chapter and the way you used the Veil. I felt for Harry, the death of Sirius is one of the things I think will always affect him. Sirius was my favourite character, and I loved his relationship with Harry (which I agree, was more like that of a older brother) so I’m glad you used it here. I don’t care if it was for torturing Harry; I enjoy reading Harry’s Sirius related angst.
I especially loved Draco’s role, how this time he was the anchor. Does he realise how much trust Harry shows by turning from (supposedly) Sirius’ call for help?

I won’t comment on Harry’s plans to free Draco. I have an idea of what he might try to do, so I’ll just hope that I’m wrong, that Draco’ll stop him or that he’ll find another way.

No one will ever mean to me what he does One of the best lines so far :)

I’m lookinf forward to next chapter. Oh and, by the way, I found those cat!Draco images completely adorable ::squees::
