Another Slytherin conversation, in which there are hints of the problems to come in the second part. If Cordelia doesn't want the potion making trouble for Diggory, then she'll take part in the potion's restrictions. Tha'll be interesting, I have a feeling Draco will go all Gollum on the potion, if he hasn't already ::lol:: I wonder if Cordelia and Harry will meet, I can't imagine how a conversation between them would be unless Draco starts training him in Slytherin Talk.
That part with Hermione and Harry was heartbreaking, I imagine how hard it must be for Harry to see her like this, when he know just how strong she really is. And he was so cute spending all day with her, not doing or saying anything, just being there for her. Draco's reasoning for his touch on Harry's neck made me want to hug him, but I guess by the end of this part he'll have a real friend in Harry. And I'm a sucker for touches in the nape of the neck :P
Even so, that was no excuse for what he later learned he had forgotten to do. I almost exploded from sheer GLEE when I read that. Still, I'm not sure I got the real hint because I don't know if Harry's maelstrom (can't think of other word :P) of emotions is natural or a withdrawal effect. What I learned is that Harry is afraid of his magic, of how wild it is. He thinks is uncontrolled, though he was doing a great job until he got distracted. And it appeared as if it was easier for him to perform the spells. So the potion could be for his magic, his temper or both, but I won't speculate, let it be a surprise! I did find it weird how Harry reacted after the screw-up, it was a little over the top, thinking he'll have to grovel. I reckon it's related with events of his past... what happened with Ginny, perhaps?
Potter had a more expressive face than hers, and a better smile. I like how thins chapter is full of possible future slash.
I can't wait to know what Draco makes of this potion-free Harry!!
