Aw, thank you! I seem to have a penchant for giving Harry and Draco careers that connect with living creatures. But, as you say, it works.
The story is partially about exposing/resolving Harry and Draco's issues as well as Raphael's- the scene where Draco comes to Harry instead of going after Raphael hints at that- but, as you say, Draco is the main focus.
In general, I like a heroic Harry. But I like an ordinary Harry, too. I think that's one theme that JKR really tried to include in the books- not always successfully, but it makes for a more interesting read than just another action hero smashing his enemies.
Glad you liked the humor. I felt it was much more limited in this story than in others I've written, which made me worry about the tone a bit.
I love the ending. Not making Raphael the culprit worked out a lot better than I originally thought it would.
