The Death Eaters are terrible villains. I'll admit they were much more effective in DH, but still. Several of their best got trounced by six school-age kids, ages fourteen and fifteen. They're good at mindless violence, and nothing else. I can just imagine Draco thinking they were the height of coolness when he was fourteen, and then wincing and trying to disassociate himself from them in his later years.
