Yeah. In this case, Dumbledore honestly doesn't have an evil purpose; he thought he had put off the truth for as long as he could and that Harry needed to know it sooner rather than later. Otherwise, he would have had to do what he did in canon and rely on Harry simply sacrificing himself when the time comes. He believes that he's giving him the time to get used to it this way.

Harry's Occlumency skills are less involved here than his self-control.
