I had assumed Severus might act even more meanly to Harry because of Lily, but I like that he's closed off all those emotions (or at least willed it to be that way) so he can act more rashly onces he's thought about everything.

Also definitely a first if I remember correctly here. Generally I don't see Lucius voice popping into Draco's head like that, and you usually have Narcissa "voicing her opinions." I found that interesting.
