Wow. I'm not saying I don't appreciate the story, but I guess I'm in a lonely place with NOT feeling this was cute and sweet, but a bit dark. What am I saying, it's REALLY dark from my pov. Compelling and surprising, as well.

Basically, if I'm getting this right, Kingsley requested the murder/assisted suicide of a troubled man instead of taking him in and/or getting him help. (!!) Draco complied but with the proviso that he had full access to Harry-- who is troubled and vulnerable and on the verge of a breakdown. He killed a man to get to Harry. Holy cow.

Even though Draco isn't intending him harm so far, he certainly isn't in any position to really help Harry, just be kind and supportive. As a matter of fact, he is in a good position to dominate/control/influence him if darker urges compel him to do so. Harry allowed the murder to go through because he saw Draco as his only hope (which may or may not be true), so if Draco played his cards right, he could use Harry to his advantage in many avenues. He might not do such a thing, might not even intend it outright. But for the sake of argument, he could manage it unconsciously or figure out the advantage and manipulate Harry on purpose. So much to ponder.
