I'm really starting to respect Draco even more now, because he's holding himself back from taking advantage of Harry, even though he desires him so strongly, because he can tell that Harry's not ready for it. I admired him already for everything he's done, but he just keeps creeping up in my estimation with every chapter.
I'm surprised and yet not surprised that it's Scrimgeour. Like Draco, I'm wondering why I didn't see it sooner. The man really is a fool if he did this to thwart his perceived political ambitions. Though it probably is more than just that, there is probably some deeper resentment and loathing. I'm very curious to see how this plays out. What can Draco do, when the Cassandra curse may have made it that Scrimgeour doesn't even remember casting it? This is such a difficult plot; I can't wait to see how you finish it.
And as for Harry, I'm glad his view of Draco is changing, too. He's got a way to go, but Draco keeps proving he can be trusted, and Harry recognizes that. I wonder how long it will be before he succumbs to his own desires?

Great chapter. Can't wait for more.
