I liked this story a lot! I'm not always fond of reading epilogue-compliant stories -- more because I'm frustrated with the epilogue itself than with how any given story is written. But I really like your take on it and your characterizations of the major players. And I do very much like your James, Al, Lily, and Scorpius. I haven't much ventured into "next gen" fics yet, and you've reminded me that I should, even though the kids weren't the main focus here. My favorite part of this story was the scene in the greenhouse. The level of emotion and conflict and resolution was perfect.

Anyways, just wanted to drop a line that I enjoyed this, much like all your other stories I've read. You're a great writer and an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing all the stories this past year, and a Happy New Year to you!
