Draco's way to think about Harry's face makes me sick. "Thing"? *shudders* I can understand his digust and maybe repulsion, but still - Harry is not a thing, and the scars are part of him. Draco has to stop thinking about them separately. But maybe that's the real problem: Draco wants to think of them separately, because if they're separate, they can be severed and banished. But if they're part of Harry, who he loves, that'd mean he would have to at least accept them if not love them as well, and he's not able to do that (yet). He can't stand the thought of loving someone or something ugly, I suppose.
