I hadn't thought of that; interesting point! And of course if Draco is used to his largely being able to bend reality to his will to the extent that he made his son more intelligent and mature than he might otherwise have been, then he would have even more trouble understanding why they couldn't just "fix" Harry's injuries (and likely try to ignore that such a distressing thing ever happened).
