I think this is the first time I have ever wanted an H/D to not have a happy ending. I want Harry to walk away whole and secure in himself and leave a small minded Draco to his calm, charmed world where nothing bad ever happened to anyone, at least not after the war was over and the Dark Lord defeated. This Draco just doesn't seem to be redeemable and the fact that this is a shorter story makes me wonder how it will resolve itself. I really appreciate that you haven't made this easy and given Draco a smidge of compassion that we readers can predict leading to a major emotional breakthrough for the smexy flangsty ending.

And just one thing about Scorpious - while he is a good foil to Draco, he is WAY beyond any 2 year I've ever known. I know it's hard to write children correctly if you don't have regular interaction with them, but generally 2 year olds are just learning their ABC's and beginning their verbal skills with one or two word sentences and even then their articulation is still very much within "babytalk". This Scorpious sounds and acts more like a 4 or 5 year old. Now, I'm also completely willing to suspend that discrepency with a "wizarding children are special" and the fact that this just a story that I read for fun. But I also know that you work very hard as an author to give your stories details and background and emotion for the sake of realism, so maybe it's something to think about for future stories.

Anyway, great writing and thank you for sharing it with all of us!
