Draco and his family do seem to have an almost preternatural awareness of how they are perceived. You skirt with being unrelatable (who can induce precisely the adjective they imagine their smile to in another person?), but you manage to never cross the line. I'm curious to see more of Narcissa and Lucius – particularly with each other, as the family dynamics are even more intriguing for their nuance! Also, I love how strikingly you portray the difference in each character's worldview without it ever coming across as forced.
