Yeah, but Slytherins are supposed to be cunning people. It's a House trait. But in the books, all the Slytherin characters, except Snape, are stupid. I mean everybody says that Voldemort or Slughorn are intelligent, but their actions tell us a different thing.

I think Draco never got a chance in the books because his role was being defeated by Harry. I mean, when you write an enemy and you want a happy end, of course the hero must defeat the bad guys. But I prefer when I don't have the feeling that the enemies are only there to show how wonderful is the hero, and I always had this feeling with Draco.
