I hope it serves as a kind of character study in inevitability, so that you see how the tragedy could have been turned aside in the early stages but got more and more likely to happen as it went along.
But it's not a pure tragedy. The tragedy hits about the middle, and then the story leads up and out.
And Lucius will try to help Draco, but with Draco sabotaging Lucius in return, that may not work.
