Ooh, I like the Dursley hints Harry dropped in this chapter. Not sure how revealing more would help his case though (even if I really would like to see the impending explosion).

Does Emptyweed realize how contradictory his statements are? First he admitted that Harry is talented enough to worry the administrators, then he said Harry was arrogant to assume he would succeed as a mediwizard? Well, he had basis for that assumption, didn't he? And I found Emptyweed's expectation that a hero should have political sensibilities interesting. I'd have thought that heroes in general are what they are because they don't make as much moral compromises. Granted, there's many different kind of heroism, but...oh well, like Harry said, it's not worth arguing.

I'm still nervous about Pontiff. Love Roger's dobbylike outburst (though the cause is more mind-boggling). Great chapter, as usual.
