I just can't see the Malfoys having the same amount of prestige right after DH. And I think Lucius and Narcissa would adapt to that much more easily than Draco in some ways, because he's never been raised without it while they'll have lived through several changes.
Honestly, the amount of similarities Harry noticed surprised me. Some of them were ones I hadn't thought of before writing this fic.
