Lucky me for checking your journal before going to take a bath :D
Ok, so I decided to read this story because I love horror stories even if I don't like sad stories... and because I noticed there wasn't a character death warning. So far so good; the mystery is already killing me ><
Harry's characterization is wonderful!!! Seriously, there are so many *Harry* things in this chapter (I need to learn how to do italics):
/And he had to have excitement in his life./
/ If someone else is hurting, it’s up to me to do something about it/
/Harry nodded. He was responding both to Mr. Weasley’s words and the unspoken plea he could hear hidden behind them. Please save Ron and Hermione if you can. And of course Harry could do no less. What was a hero for, if he couldn’t save his best friends from a mysterious curse?/
/When in doubt, go forwards/
However, he's not the same Harry. He's gone through enough to know that running headlong into danger is not the smartest move, so he holds back to consider the situation: asks Shacklebolt what the hell is going on, looks for danger, uses the invisibility cloak... but at the same time he's not perfect, thus making noise in his eagerness.
The trio reaction to Harry's sexuality is exactly as it would be in canon, IMO. Harry doesn't like it, tries denial, to change back but doesn't lie to his friends and Ginny. Ron being a little weird out and awkward but accepting Harry. And Hermione being supporting from the beginning and trying to hook Harry up with someone.
Whoa, this is long ::is embarrassed:: It's just all of them are so IC this could be a real HP book. I wait (and dread) the next chapter!
