Re: AMWM 26 (aka The Die is Cast)

You're most welcome!

Draco is probably (more than) a little intimidated by the prospect of having to deal with two powerful and committed witches, me thinks ;-} The notion that Millicent might fancy him tipped him off. You're the author, so if you say that he knows better, I'll believe you, but I have my doubts ;-} He's still a Malfoy when all is said and done ;-}

OK, I guess I'm still confused about the Daphne (and thus Hermione) spell that allows a recorded virtual memory of the event to take place. I was seeing it as more as an objective surveillance type of construct where an individual could enter (and even enjoy) the event regardless of the perspective by which it came, rather than a quasi-subjective one, that came from a specific person's perspective. The difference akin to videotape versus eyewitness testimony.

The difficulty I have, and it's a highly technical one, and from the purview of one far too invested in this particular political drama; is whether the sharing of this recording, say like posting it on YouTube, would be a way to implicate Diggory is even possible. The ability to deny is only valid when some other perspective is offered, i.e. he would have to present either his own memories of the event for it to be effective or some other means by which to discredit.

I do see the value in keeping their cards close to the vest, so to speak. The balancing act you refer to is a delicate dance. One wonders however at the costs of this subterfuge. Isn't this the kind of maneuvering that got Kingsley so knotted up in the first place? But I guess laying out traps in a more preemptive fashion is more strategic than tactical in nature and will trust that they know what they're doing!

'm still wondering what was up with Willowberry, btw?! they're something there, but I just can't put my finger on it. And if I haven't mentioned it before, I'm finally convinced, beyond question, that this ability to provoke question an author is simply amazing, especially with your generous feedback being spectacularly wondrous!

With unmitigated gratitude!
