That was lovely. You struck the perfect balance of detail and ambiguity: enough detail to give us context, but enough ambiguity to add to the whole fever dream ambiance. This is definitely going into my bundle of favorites.

As a side-note, one of my absolute favorite films is Secretary. This reminded me so much of that movie--Harry was the male, war-hero, alter-ego of Maggie Gyllenhaal's Lee Holloway.
