I haven't yet decided how much I will follow the HBP scenario. Some of it, since I've already introduced references to Horcruxes, but for one thing, Harry and Dumbledore's relationship is too strained for the relatively easy trust they had that year, and Voldemort knows much more than he did. Snape would probably be killed if he went back to spying no matter what; there's not much point in having him kill Dumbledore now.
(Voldemort was, in fact, laughing over the idea that Draco was 'weak' enough to die of a heart attack from Cruciatus. He couldn't wait to tell Lucius that).
